Jasa Raharja has confirmed that all victims involved in the tragic collision between an ALS bus and an oil tanker on the Trans-Sumatra Highway, located in Simpang Danau, Karang Jaya District, North Musi Rawas Regency (Muratara), South Sumatra, on Wednesday (May 6), will receive comprehensive insurance coverage.
The accident involved an ALS bus (license plate BK-7451-DL) and an oil tanker, the identity of which is currently being verified by local authorities. Preliminary data indicates that the collision resulted in 16 fatalities and left four others injured.
Immediately following the report, officials from the Jasa Raharja South Sumatra Regional Office were dispatched to the scene to assist with the evacuation and coordinate with the local traffic police unit to secure the necessary police reports. Furthermore, representatives visited the hospitals treating the victims to ensure that medical care and insurance protocols were being processed efficiently.

Jasa Raharja President Director Muhammad Awaluddin emphasized that the company is committed to ensuring that all eligible victims receive compensation and medical expense coverage, in accordance with Law Number 33 and 34 of 1964.
“Jasa Raharja is here to ensure that victims of traffic accidents receive rapid and accurate basic protection. I have instructed our teams to immediately conduct registration, coordinate with hospitals and relevant stakeholders, and guarantee that all victims receive their entitlements as mandated by law,” stated Awaluddin.
As part of its emergency response, Jasa Raharja has issued a guarantee letter to the Rupit Regional General Hospital (RSUD Rupit) to expedite medical services for those injured. Simultaneously, the agency is working to identify the victims and their heirs to ensure that death benefit disbursements are processed promptly and accurately.
