Teknowarta KEBAYORAN BARU – Renowned Indonesian singer Rossa has initiated legal action, issuing formal summons to dozens of social media accounts alleged to be spreading defamatory content about her.
Ikhsan Tualeka, Rossa’s official spokesperson, stated that these legal summons, or “somasi,” are a direct response to a surge of online content deemed harmful to the esteemed singer’s reputation. This damaging material is not only considered disparaging but also actively works to discredit Rossa in the public eye.
Beyond seeking personal recourse, Ikhsan elaborated that this significant legal endeavor also serves as a crucial educational initiative. It aims to encourage the wider community to adopt more discerning and responsible practices when engaging with social media platforms.
During a press conference held in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Monday, April 13, 2026, Ikhsan underscored the broader implications of their action. “We are pursuing these summons, once again, not solely for personal reasons,” he explained, “but to foster greater media literacy among the general public, encouraging everyone to be more careful and intelligent in their use of social media.”
Ikhsan further asserted that the barrage of defamatory attacks against Rossa appeared to be both structured and systematic, necessitating a robust and serious legal response. “We emphasize that the reason we are issuing these summons today is because these actions seem systematically orchestrated to undermine her standing as a prominent celebrity in our nation,” he firmly stated, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
Concurrently, Rossa’s legal counsel, Natalia Rusli, confirmed that the firm has issued a strict 24-hour ultimatum to the identified social media accounts. They are required to promptly remove the offending content and issue a public apology.

“We are offering a rather considerate resolution,” Natalia explained, “as Ms. Rossa wishes to avoid unnecessary commotion or intimidation towards fellow social media users.” She reiterated the urgency, stating, “We are granting a 1×24 hour window for them to take down all reports and news that undermine Ms. Rossa’s dignity and her well-established reputation as a top-tier public figure.”
Natalia also disclosed one particularly egregious example of the online slander: false claims suggesting that Rossa had undergone a failed plastic surgery procedure. She vehemently clarified that Rossa has, in fact, never had any such operation. “For instance, there were claims that Ms. Rossa underwent a failed surgery, when in reality, she has never had surgery,” Natalia stated, adding, “As an artist, a diva, she simply has a makeup artist who expertly follows current trends.”
