A significant train collision incident at Bekasi Timur Station on Monday evening, April 27, 2026, has led to the cancellation of 25 long-distance train journeys. The incident, involving the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek and a Commuter Line (KRL) train, prompted PT KAI to suspend dozens of scheduled services, causing widespread travel disruption.

According to Anne Purba, VP Corporate Communication at PT KAI, this critical decision was made due to the ongoing evacuation efforts on the upstream track, which rendered the line temporarily impassable. The priority remains clearing the tracks to ensure safety and restore operations as quickly as possible.

In light of these unforeseen disruptions, PT KAI has announced a comprehensive full refund policy for passengers affected by the cancellations. Passengers have a generous window of up to seven days from the cancellation date to claim their full ticket fare, as stated in an official announcement on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, providing much-needed clarity for disrupted travelers.
