Two Suspects Arrested for Teenage Slashing in East Jakarta

The investigation was launched on Tuesday, May 19, following an urgent report from a local hospital. Medical staff alerted authorities after the victim was admitted with a sickle (celurit) still embedded in his head. This shocking detail prompted police to conduct an intensive investigation, eventually identifying the attackers and locating them at their respective homes in Depok.

The victim sustained severe head injuries from the attack, necessitating emergency surgery at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. During the operation, investigators recovered several pieces of evidence, including the sickle used in the assault, a black sweater, clothing, and the official medical report documenting the victim’s wounds.

The two suspects now face serious legal consequences. They have been charged under Article 466 of the Criminal Code regarding aggravated assault, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
