After three months with no arrest, authorities have intensified their efforts, issuing a Wanted List (DPO – Daftar Pencarian Orang) for the alleged perpetrator, identified as Muhammad Syamun Al Ghozi.

According to the DPO poster obtained by kumparan, Syamun was born in Kebumen on February 16, 1999. He is being prosecuted under Article 458 and Article 466 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code, which pertain to murder or assault resulting in death.

Syamun’s last known address is listed as Jalan Cemara 1, Baktijaya, Sukmajaya, Depok City. The Chief of Gunung Putri Sector Police, Kompol Aulia Robby, has verified the information on the poster, confirming that the suspect is indeed still a fugitive on the DPO list.

Kompol Robby affirmed the details, stating, “Yes, that’s correct, that’s the perpetrator,” when contacted on Sunday, March 15th. Police are urging the public to contact investigators at the Gunung Putri Sector Police with any information regarding Syamun’s whereabouts, via telephone at 021-8671405 or WhatsApp at 081314649848. Reports can also be made through the National Police call center at 110.

Previously, Aulia had revealed that the suspect shared a connection with the victim, describing him as a close friend rather than an estranged spouse. “He is not an ex-husband. We are still actively pursuing the perpetrator, who holds DPO status. The suspect is believed to be a close friend of the victim,” Aulia stated on Monday, January 26th. He further explained that the perpetrator had gone into hiding shortly after the murder case gained significant public attention and went viral.

Authorities attempted to contact him by sending three summons letters, but the individual failed to appear. “It turns out he hasn’t been home since the case went viral,” Aulia added, highlighting the suspect’s deliberate evasion.

A crucial eyewitness account comes from Dayat, 45, the owner of a stall located near where Arifianti’s body was discovered. Dayat recounted how a motorcyclist had reportedly seen Arifianti being pillioned by someone on a motorcycle. What struck the witness was Arifianti’s feet dangling precariously, even dragging along the asphalt, leading to visible injuries.

Dayat recalled the incident from Tuesday, December 9th, stating, “‘Initially, that motorcycle passed from Cileungsi towards Citeureup, and someone had already warned them because the pillion passenger’s feet were dragging on the asphalt, injured. Fearing she might be in pain or something.'” When the warning was issued about the woman’s feet, the motorcyclist’s response was unclear; “the motorcycle just kept going,” Dayat added.

The individual who issued the warning later returned home and saw news reports on social media concerning the discovery of a body. This prompted them to recall the suspicious incident they had witnessed earlier, leading them to speculate that the motorcyclist might have been transporting a corpse at that very moment.
