However, the exact date for this summons remains undetermined.

As investigations continue into the devastating Musi Rawas Utara accident, authorities are also focused on identifying the victims. To date, only 10 of the 16 fatalities have been successfully identified by the joint Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team from Polda Sumsel’s Medical and Health Division (Biddokkes) and the National Police Headquarters’ Medical and Health Center (Pusdokkes).

Emphasizing the meticulous nature of their work, the DVI team highlighted that the identification process cannot be rushed. “The team is still conducting DVI operations, and the process cannot be hasty to ensure that every step taken is accurate and error-free before the victims can ultimately be returned to their families,” Nandang explained.

Nandang further clarified that once the entire identification process for all victims is completed by the DVI team, the bodies will be simultaneously handed over to their respective families. This ensures a coordinated and respectful conclusion to this challenging phase.
