KOTA BANDUNG – A horrific stabbing incident has tragically claimed the life of 26-year-old Nanda Tritami Raina in the Sekelimus area of Bandung Kidul, Kota Bandung. The brutal attack, which occurred on the night of Saturday, May 9, 2026, was allegedly carried out by CM, a 30-year-old man who is reportedly the victim’s former brother-in-law, adding a layer of shock to the already tragic event.
According to Hamzah (40), a witness present at the scene, the perpetrator had been waiting for the victim since the afternoon. Hamzah recounted observing CM in the vicinity of the crime scene from as early as 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM WIB. He noted that CM appeared remarkably polite and even engaged in casual conversation when asked who he was waiting for, making his subsequent actions all the more unexpected.
The tragedy unfolded around 8:00 PM WIB when Nanda Tritami Raina arrived in a white car. CM immediately accosted her, blocking her vehicle. Without uttering a word, the perpetrator reportedly opened the car door and brutally stabbed the victim while she was still inside the vehicle, leaving her with severe injuries.
Investigations suggest the stabbing was fueled by a deep-seated family vendetta, stemming from CM’s divorce from the victim’s sibling. The perpetrator reportedly believed Nanda was actively obstructing his attempts to reconcile with his former wife. Hamzah corroborated this motive, stating, “So, the perpetrator is the victim’s former brother-in-law who was upset because he felt hindered in his attempts to reconcile. He seemingly harbored a direct grudge against Nanda.”
Upon hearing Nanda’s screams for help, Hamzah courageously rushed to the victim’s car. He confronted CM, who attempted to flee the scene, claiming it was a family matter and urging Hamzah not to interfere. Unwavering, Hamzah retorted, “This is no longer a family matter; it’s a criminal act,” pointing to the significant amount of blood visible, signaling the severity of the situation.
Following the horrific act, CM made no attempt to resist and reportedly surrendered to residents who had gathered. Shockingly, the perpetrator allegedly expressed a sense of satisfaction, stating that he felt “content” after successfully venting his anger on the victim. Hamzah, reflecting on the perpetrator’s earlier polite demeanor, conveyed his disbelief, “He said he wouldn’t run away and admitted he felt satisfied with what he had done. Initially, he seemed very polite; I truly never imagined he would act so desperately.”
