Confirming the joyous anticipation, Ahmad Chalabi, head of the Kebayoran Lama Religious Affairs Office (KUA), revealed that the families of El Rumi and Syifa Hadju have officially submitted a marriage recommendation letter. Chalabi verified that all necessary documents for the couple have been received and are currently being processed by the office.
“A family representative came a few days ago to manage the marriage recommendation letter,” Ahmad Chalabi told media representatives at his office on Tuesday, March 14, providing a crucial update on the couple’s matrimonial plans.
Chalabi further elaborated on the necessity of this particular document. He explained that the marriage recommendation letter is required because El Rumi and Syifa Hadju are most likely not planning to solemnize their marriage within the legal jurisdiction of the KUA Kebayoran Lama. This is a standard procedure for couples marrying outside their registered domicile.
According to established regulations, prospective brides and grooms who intend to marry outside their registered residential area are mandated to obtain a recommendation letter from their originating KUA. This ensures proper administrative oversight and record-keeping.
“In accordance with existing regulations, we assist in the creation of the marriage recommendation. We issue this recommendation if the wedding is to take place outside our authority,” Ahmad Chalabi clarified, emphasizing the KUA’s role in facilitating the process.
Regarding the extensive documentation, Ahmad affirmed that the KUA has successfully completed the compilation of all requested files. He confidently stated, “We have processed and created it,” underscoring the efficiency with which the KUA handled the couple’s paperwork.
Chalabi also highlighted that El Rumi and Syifa Hadju have meticulously adhered to all requirements stipulated in the Minister of Religious Affairs Regulation No. 30 of 2014. Detailing the specifics, Ahmad Chalabi confirmed, “They submitted requirements in accordance with the Minister of Religious Affairs Regulation No. 30 of 2014. “I cannot disclose it. For information on the location or date, please ask the family directly. I apologize. My role is merely to assist in ensuring that the marriage recommendation has been processed,” Ahmad concluded, reiterating his administrative function while respecting the couple’s personal space.
