Kendaraan keluar Jakarta tembus 1,1 juta

As the 2026 Lebaran exodus rapidly approaches, a significant surge in outbound traffic from Jakarta is already evident. State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk reported a staggering 1.1 million vehicles had departed the capital by 10:00 PM Western Indonesia Time (WIB) on Tuesday, March 17. This substantial figure represents 32 percent of the total projected vehicle volume expected to leave Jakarta during this year’s Eid al-Fitr holiday travel period.

Speaking from the command center at Kilometer 29 of the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road in North Cikarang on the same Tuesday, Rivan A. Purwantono, President Director of PT Jasa Marga, underscored the growing traffic intensity. “Friends in the media, as of 10:00 PM tonight, the vehicle flow out of Jakarta has reached 1.1 million, or 1,100,000. This marks 32% of our projections and shows a clear increase compared to previous days,” Rivan stated, highlighting the early acceleration of the annual pilgrimage.

In response to this escalating vehicle volume, Jasa Marga, in close coordination with the Ministry of Transportation and the National Traffic Police Corps (Korlantas Polri), has swiftly implemented a phased traffic engineering strategy. This includes the activation of a partial one-way traffic system, specifically ‘one way sepenggal tahap 1,’ designed to proactively manage and alleviate the growing congestion anticipated to intensify throughout the night.

Elaborating on the collaborative effort, Rivan explained the critical role of this initial one-way scheme. “That is why, together with the Minister of Transportation and the Chief of Korlantas, we have launched this partial one-way stage 1. Our projections indicate that tonight, the vehicle count is expected to rise further to 34%, or 1.2 million vehicles,” he clarified. He further assured travelers that preparations extend beyond just the designated one-way lane, emphasizing that “we also guarantee that not only the route for the one-way system but also rest areas on both lanes A and B are fully prepared for travelers to utilize during this period.”

Jasa Marga reaffirms its comprehensive readiness, ensuring all supporting infrastructure, including vital rest areas across both inbound and outbound routes, is fully equipped to enhance traveler comfort and safety throughout the implementation of these traffic engineering measures. With the peak of the Lebaran exodus still approaching, vehicle volumes are consistently projected to climb, underscoring the importance of these proactive traffic management strategies.
