Kemhan akan latih 4.000 ASN dari seluruh kementerian jadi Komcad: Mulai April

The Ministry of Defense is set to initiate a significant program, training 4,000 Civil Servants (ASN) to become integral components of Indonesia’s national defense reserve force (Komcad). This crucial training is slated to commence in April this year, marking a pivotal step in strengthening the nation’s security framework.

Deputy Minister of Defense, Donny Ermawan Taufanto, emphasized the strategic importance of this initiative during a session at the DPR on Tuesday, February 10th. “One form of our comprehensive defense strategy involves the entire nation’s components participating in national defense, and the reserve component is a key part of this,” he explained, highlighting the government’s commitment to a broad-based defense approach.

The initial batch of 4,000 Civil Servants represents the first wave of what is envisioned as a much larger program. Donny articulated an ambitious long-term objective: to train all Indonesian Civil Servants as Komcad members. For this inaugural phase, the Ministry has requested nominations from all 49 ministries and government agencies, aiming for a diverse representation across the public sector.

Before the training officially begins, the Ministry of Defense will meticulously screen all nominated Civil Servants. This selection process is designed to ensure that only those who meet the stringent qualifications will proceed to the training program, maintaining the high standards required for national defense responsibilities.

The selected Civil Servants will undergo an intensive two-month training period. Donny assured that this commitment would not conflict with their existing professional duties. “I believe this will align with their roles as Civil Servants. They will receive Komcad training for only about two months, after which they will return to their regular duties. Therefore, there will be no hindrance or conflict with their responsibilities,” he affirmed, reiterating that the training is expected to begin towards the end of next month, specifically in April.
