“Currently, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, the Special Criminal Acts Investigation Team from the Jakarta Special Region High Prosecutor’s Office is conducting searches in several rooms at the Directorate General of Water Resources (SDA) and Directorate General of Human Settlements Buildings of the Ministry of Public Works, including the offices of the Director General of Water Resources and the Director General of Human Settlements, pertaining to the investigation of alleged criminal acts of corruption across multiple activity items for the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year,” Dapot stated in his official remarks on Thursday (9/4).

According to Dariarma, the search operation was initiated under an Investigation Warrant dated April 3, 2026, and a Search Warrant issued on April 9, 2026. This strategic move was undertaken with the explicit aim of gathering crucial corroborating evidence.

“The search is an integral part of the investigative process designed to obtain and secure evidence pertinent to the case, thereby clarifying the criminal events currently under scrutiny,” he elaborated.

Following the extensive search, the investigative team successfully seized a considerable amount of evidence from several locations visited during the operation.

“During the execution of the search, the investigative team visited numerous locations suspected of having links to the case. From these activities, investigators secured several items believed to be relevant to the investigative process, including various documents and electronic devices,” Dapot further explained.

All confiscated evidence is currently undergoing thorough further examination by the prosecutor’s office.

“The secured items will be subjected to detailed analysis and in-depth study to support the evidentiary process during the investigation phase,” he affirmed, emphasizing the commitment to a robust legal proceeding.

Dariarma assured the public that the entire legal process would be conducted strictly in accordance with applicable regulations.

“Further developments concerning the handling of this case will be communicated to the public as a demonstration of transparency and information disclosure,” he concluded, promising regular updates.

Meanwhile, Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, commented on the searches, stating that their purpose was for further inquiry and deeper understanding of certain matters.

“Colleagues from the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office arrived, requesting permission to conduct further inquiries by accessing several rooms. I simply granted their request,” Dody said in Jakarta, as reported by Antara.

The Minister noted that the investigators from Kejati DKI arrived with official documents authorizing their in-depth inquiry. However, he admitted he was not privy to the specific issues under investigation.

“They informed me they had assignment letters and warrants,” he recounted.

“They did not disclose the particular issues they were investigating. They merely expressed their desire to conduct further inquiries, that was all. I do not have further knowledge,” he revealed, indicating his limited awareness of the investigation’s specifics.
