The funeral procession for beloved singer Vidi Aldiano took place on Sunday, March 8, at the Tanah Kusir Public Cemetery (TPU) in South Jakarta. Prior to reaching the cemetery, the late Vidi’s body was first solemnly prayed over by his family at a mosque near his residence in Cilandak, South Jakarta.
An ambulance carrying Vidi Aldiano‘s remains arrived at the burial site around 8:15 AM WIB. A multitude of family members, relatives, and close friends gathered to bid their final farewells to the cherished artist. The somber occasion saw a significant presence from fellow celebrities, including Farhan, Mahalini, Keanu Agl, Fadil Jaidi, Aaliyah Massaid, Thariq Halilintar, Yura Yunita, Donne Maula, and Morgan Oey, all offering their respects.
A profound sense of sorrow enveloped the burial ground moments after Vidi Aldiano‘s casket was carefully removed from the ambulance. The grief of family and friends became palpable, their tears flowing uncontrollably as the body neared its final resting place. Emotional cries echoed as the deceased was slowly lowered into the grave, a heartbreaking moment for all who witnessed it.
Following the solemn burial proceedings, a representative of the family led a heartfelt prayer. The reverent supplication was offered with deep sincerity, as family members and loved ones stood united, encircling the newly consecrated grave. During the ceremony, a family member touchingly stated, “We bear witness that the deceased was a good person,” remembering Vidi Aldiano‘s kind spirit.

He first discovered his illness in 2019 when he received a devastating diagnosis of stage 3 kidney cancer. Following this life-altering news, the singer, known for hits like “Nuansa Bening,” promptly underwent surgery to remove one of his kidneys.
The acclaimed artist was reportedly afflicted with advanced Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (ccRCC), which is identified as the most prevalent type of kidney cancer. This particular form of cancer originates from the small tubule cells within the kidney, which are vital for filtering blood and producing urine. In an effort to prioritize his health, Vidi Aldiano had previously made the difficult decision to take a hiatus from his career, dedicating his time and energy to his demanding treatment and recovery.
