One particular scene in the highly anticipated horror movie required Givina, portraying the character Saidah, to engage in a physical confrontation with Ratu Sofya, who plays Airin. The sequence involved the two characters slapping each other, an interaction that became far more intense than initially planned.

Givina revealed that she and Ratu Sofya had meticulously choreographed the scene beforehand, ensuring a technical approach to their on-screen struggle. “There was a mild physical altercation scene between Saidah and Airin. What’s funny is that on set, if I’m not mistaken, we had already agreed. We planned, ‘You’ll slap here, and I’ll do this and that.’ So, it was all technical when we did the scene,” Givina explained, speaking from the Kuningan area of South Jakarta on Monday (27/4).

However, the raw intensity of the emotions required for the scene led both actresses to dive deeper into their roles than intended, blurring the lines between rehearsal and reality. Givina admitted that she was genuinely startled during the take, a surprise shared by other cast members witnessing the unexpected turn.

“It seems we became too immersed, too emotional. That’s why when I was slapped by Airin, Bap! I was genuinely shocked,” Givina recounted. “Bisma was shocked too. Doctor Usman was also shocked. So, we were like, ‘Okay, slap back,’ and I think that came from the heart; I actually somewhat forgot (the choreography),” she added, highlighting the spontaneous nature of their reactions.

Despite the momentary over-immersion in their characters’ emotions, both Givina and Ratu Sofya immediately apologized to each other once the director called “cut.” Givina shared a humorous anecdote about how they instantly checked on each other’s well-being following the intense slapping sequence.

“The funny thing is, after ‘cut,’ we both immediately went, ‘Are you okay? I’m sorry,’ and then ‘Yeah, I’m okay, but that felt personal just now, why? Why did you do that?’,” she chuckled.
