The happy news was first shared by renowned religious figure Habib Usman bin Yahya. He confirmed that the sacred Akad Nikah, or Islamic marriage ceremony, for El Rumi and Syifa Hadju concluded smoothly and successfully, marking the beginning of their journey as husband and wife.

Following the ceremony, Habib Usman extended heartfelt blessings and prayers for the newlyweds. “May their household be filled with sakinah, mawaddah, warahmah – tranquility, love, and mercy. May El and Syifa find profound peace, affection, and compassion from Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala within their family,” he expressed on Sunday afternoon. He further hoped that their marriage would serve as an inspiring example for other young couples.

During the significant event, Habib Usman also revealed details about El Rumi’s declaration of the ijab kabul, the solemn marriage vow. He noted that El delivered his vow with remarkable composure and unwavering firmness, impressing all those present.

MasyaAllah, his recitation of the ijab kabul was incredibly firm and completed in a single utterance. It was done in one go,” Habib Usman recounted. “When he declared, ‘I accept the marriage,’ it was truly masyaAllah – firm, brave, and loud. It seemed he had prepared thoroughly,” he added, praising El’s confident demeanor.

However, Habib Usman refrained from disclosing the specific amount of the mahar, or dowry, presented by El Rumi to Syifa Hadju. Nevertheless, he shared invaluable marital advice for the new couple, focusing on the principles of a harmonious relationship.

Concluding his words of wisdom, Habib Usman emphasized the paramount importance of mutual respect and love within marriage. “For husbands, the most crucial thing is to cherish and honor your wife, as taught by Rasulullah [Prophet Muhammad]: ‘Khairukum khairukum li ahlihi’ – the best among you is he who is best to his wife. Love and adore her,” he advised. “And for wives, respect, love, and cherish your husband, because entering paradise is easy. Women can achieve paradise effortlessly through three things: first, obedience to Allah and His Messenger, and second, obedience to her husband.”
