Diding Boneng disclosed that the alarming incident began while he was at home. “It started in the middle of the night; the asthma just came on. I couldn’t breathe; it was incredibly difficult,” Diding Boneng shared from Radjak Hospital in Salemba, Central Jakarta, on Friday, February 20, 2026.
In his critical condition, Diding Boneng recounted screaming for help as his breathing became increasingly restricted. Fortunately, a friend quickly came to his aid and promptly transported him to the nearest hospital for emergency medical attention. “I was still at home, so I called out to a friend who was there. He was the one who drove me to the hospital,” he explained.
Initially, Diding Boneng was taken to RS Panti in the Menteng area. However, after approximately thirty minutes of examination, doctors determined that he required more specialized care and referred him to Radjak Hospital for further treatment. “From there, the doctor referred me here. I was brought directly here that very night,” Diding added, detailing his journey to more comprehensive medical facilities.
Sudden Asthma Attack in the Middle of the Night
He emphasized that the asthma attack struck unexpectedly and with great intensity, even occurring before the pre-dawn meal (sahur) during what is implied to be the fasting month. This abrupt onset necessitated immediate and intensive medical intervention.
Currently, Diding Boneng remains under medical care and observation at Radjak Hospital. While his condition is reported to have improved significantly since his initial arrival, he has not yet been discharged. “My condition is better now than when I first arrived, but it’s not perfect yet.
