Social media personality and medical intern Cindy Rizky Aprilia, widely known as Cindy Rizap, has finally addressed the swirling allegations accusing her of being a third party in the marriage of former 90s child star Maissy and her husband, Dr. Ricky. During a press conference held in Tebet, South Jakarta, on Thursday (March 19), Cindy vehemently denied all such speculations.
Cindy clarified that her relationship with Dr. Ricky is strictly professional, confined to their roles as senior and junior within the medical field. “I have absolutely no personal relationship with him,” Cindy Rizap stated firmly. She further explained, “Indeed, Dr. Ricky is a medical doctor, whereas I am still a medical intern pursuing my education.”
She elaborated on the nature of their interactions, emphasizing that they are purely academic and necessitated by her training at the hospital. “In our medical internship program, we frequently share information with various doctors, not exclusively Dr. Ricky. As medical students, we continually require guidance and mentorship,” she affirmed, highlighting the collaborative and instructional environment of her work.
Cindy’s legal representative, Machi Ahmad, also appealed to the public, urging them to refrain from linking Dr. Ricky and Maissy’s marital issues to his client. Ahmad suggested that there was an unwarranted attempt to shape public opinion against Cindy. “From what I gathered during Dr. R’s previous press conference, it was clear that his relationship [with Maissy] already faced difficulties. Therefore, our client should not be implicated,” Machi stressed, aiming to redirect the narrative.
Furthermore, Cindy confirmed that she has never engaged in personal communication with Maissy regarding these accusations, as she believes she has committed no wrongdoing. “The essence is, there is no relationship between me and Dr. R. I haven’t communicated with Maissy because, in my view, I am innocent. Why should I apologize if I have done nothing wrong?” Cindy questioned. The allegations of being a “marriage wrecker” have caused significant damage to her reputation, particularly within her university community. Nevertheless, she expressed gratitude for the continued moral support from her campus.
To safeguard her rights and reputation, Cindy and her legal team have formally reported several anonymous social media accounts to the Polda Metro Jaya (Jakarta Metropolitan Police). These accounts are accused of spreading defamatory content and issuing threats of violence. This entire controversy initially surfaced following public awareness of marital discord between Maissy and Dr. Ricky, subsequently leading netizens to speculate and accuse Cindy as the supposed catalyst for the couple’s relationship breakdown.
