The office of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) became the focal point of a major operation on Wednesday, June 3, as it was subjected to a thorough raid by the Attorney General’s Office (AGO).
Observations conducted by kumparan at the location around 09:30 AM Western Indonesian Time (WIB) depicted a scene of heightened security. Five security personnel were visibly guarding the main entrance of the BGN office. Intriguingly, despite the ongoing search, numerous elaborate flower arrangements were prominently displayed in front of the office, offering congratulatory messages to the newly appointed Head of BGN, Nanik S. Deyang.

Amidst the active raid, BGN employees were seen gathering in the lower sections of the building. A security guard on site revealed that these employees had been waiting since 06:00 AM WIB, indicating an unusually early start to the day’s events. The guard further disclosed that personnel from the Attorney General’s Office had arrived even earlier, at 02:00 AM WIB, with the extensive search operation still actively in progress at the time of reporting.
Access to the BGN building was strictly controlled, as the office gates remained closed, effectively preventing any entry. The Attorney General’s Office officially confirmed the operation, with Muhammad Jefri, the Acting Head of the Legal Information Center at the AGO, stating, “Investigators from the Attorney General’s Office’s Special Crimes Division are indeed conducting a search at the BGN office.” However, Jefri did not provide further details regarding the specific commencement time of the search.

This significant development at the National Nutrition Agency follows a recent and sweeping leadership overhaul. Just the day before, on Tuesday, June 2, President Prabowo Subianto announced the dismissal of the former Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, speaking from the Presidential Office in Central Jakarta, clarified that President Prabowo’s decision to remove Dadan was a direct result of a comprehensive evaluation of the agency’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and its overall governance framework.
The leadership changes extended beyond the top position, as President Prabowo also relieved two Deputy Heads of BGN, Lodewyk Pulung and Sony Sanjaya, from their duties. To guide the agency forward, Nanik S. Deyang was appointed as Dadan’s successor, taking on the role of the new Head. Additionally, Agustina Arumsari and Major General TNI Trenggono were named as the new Deputy Heads of BGN. Prasetyo conveyed his hope that these strategic personnel adjustments would effectively address and rectify existing issues within the National Nutrition Agency, thereby ensuring improved performance and strengthening its integrity.
