“Yes, she cried earlier. Indeed, when I was here, the last time I saw Vidi, saw his body… how should I put it? Vidi was truly very close to both me and Dewi,” Armand revealed after attending the tahlilan (a traditional prayer gathering for the deceased) at Vidi’s residence in South Jakarta on Monday, March 9.

Armand Maulana further explained that his wife’s grief is particularly pronounced when she encounters photographs featuring the departed Vidi. “If she just remembers him, for instance, by seeing a photo, she immediately cries. She was still crying last night as well,” Armand added, highlighting the depth of her sorrow.

Recalling his personality, Armand remembered Vidi as a kind, delightful, and perpetually cheerful individual in his daily life. He also mentioned that Vidi’s grieving family, including his wife Sheila Dara Aisha, are bravely trying to remain strong amidst their profound loss. “(The family’s condition is) resilient, they have been strong since yesterday. (Sheila Dara is) strong, but her eyes are still swollen,” Armand observed, reflecting the quiet resilience of those left behind.

Vidi Aldiano tragically passed away on Saturday, March 7, at 4:33 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time), following a nearly seven-year courageous battle with kidney cancer. He was 35 years old at the time of his death and was laid to rest at the Tanah Kusir Public Cemetery in South Jakarta on Sunday, March 8.

Vidi is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila Dara Aisha. The couple had been married since January 2022.

Despite a period of returning to his professional activities, he announced another hiatus from the entertainment world in November 2025, intending to focus on his health and well-being.
