Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Herriawan has confirmed that all suspects involved in the violent robbery of 60-year-old Dimaris Isni Sitio have been apprehended. The incident, which occurred at the victim’s home on Jalan Kurnia 2, Rumbai Pesisir, Pekanbaru, Riau, shocked the local community.
“Praise be to God, all suspects are now in custody,” Herry Herriawan stated on Saturday, May 2.

According to reports, authorities successfully tracked down the suspects in Medan, North Sumatra. During the arrest, police were forced to shoot two of the male perpetrators in the legs to subdue them. Additionally, two women previously identified in CCTV footage were arrested at a separate location. All suspects have since been transported to the Riau Regional Police headquarters for further questioning.
Disturbing CCTV Footage
CCTV recordings provided a chilling look into the sequence of events. At approximately 10:26 AM, two women—one with red hair and another wearing yellow trousers—arrived at the victim’s home and engaged in a brief conversation with her.
The situation turned violent at 10:30 AM when a man armed with a wooden beam entered the house. He immediately approached the victim, who was sitting on a sofa, and struck her head multiple times. Disturbingly, the two women present appeared to witness the assault without reacting, suggesting a premeditated act. The attacker, wearing a black hat and a mask, proceeded to systematically destroy the home’s CCTV cameras to conceal the crime.
Further footage from the dining room captured another man in a black jacket before his camera was also destroyed. Outside, cameras recorded a man arriving by motorcycle, who then departed the premises with the red-haired woman. By 11:14 AM, the man in the hat, the man in the black jacket, and the woman in yellow were seen leaving the house together, with the woman carrying a black bag. Several valuables, including jewelry, cash, and mobile phones, were reported missing from the home.
Investigation into Internal Involvement
In addition to the primary suspects, authorities have detained the victim’s child, identified by the initial A, for further investigation. While the specific role and legal status of the child remain under scrutiny, the arrest was part of a coordinated effort by a joint team from the Pekanbaru City Police and the Rumbai Sector Police.
“We have secured the victim’s child, along with two other men identified as RAT and WAH,” said Head of Criminal Investigation for Rumbai Police, First Police Inspector Dodi Vivino. While the exact motives behind the robbery and the brutal assault are still being determined, police continue to gather evidence and witness statements. Investigators noted that during initial questioning, those detained claimed to be unaware of the whereabouts of a figure named AT, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the criminal operation.
