When questioned about the raid and rumors regarding potential arrests linked to the leadership reshuffle at the BGN, Dasco stated that he had not yet received comprehensive information. “I have not heard anything regarding arrests; I am only aware of the news concerning the search,” Dasco told reporters at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/3).

Nevertheless, he maintained that any legal proceedings are the sole jurisdiction of law enforcement. “Regardless of the specifics, we leave it to the law enforcement authorities, who certainly have their own considerations and protocols,” he added.

Regarding alleged legal violations during the previous BGN leadership, Dasco noted that input from Commission IX had been formally submitted to the government for evaluation. “I believe the recommendations provided by Commission IX to the government concerning the BGN evaluation have served as constructive feedback,” Dasco explained.

“We trust that this input has been accommodated by the government, contributing to several initiatives aimed at improving BGN’s governance. Beyond that, I do not have deeper insights as those matters were communicated directly to the government,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Attorney General’s Office confirmed that it had conducted a search at the BGN office. The action is believed to be linked to an ongoing investigation into alleged criminal activities. “Investigators from the Special Crimes Division of the Attorney General’s Office indeed conducted a search at the BGN office,” said the Acting Head of the Legal Information Center of the AGO, Muhammad Jefri, to the press on Wednesday (6/3).

Observations at the scene revealed that the BGN office area was under tight security. The gates remained closed, and media crews were restricted from approaching the building. Several employees were seen in the front area, while various vehicles remained parked in the lobby.

The search took place just hours after President Prabowo Subianto initiated a leadership shake-up within the agency. The Head of the BGN, Dadan Hindayana, was dismissed from his post and replaced by Nanik S. Deyang. In addition to Dadan, two deputy heads of the BGN, Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sanjaya, were also replaced as part of the transition.
