SURABAYA – RS Premier Surabaya has once again demonstrated its profound commitment to social responsibility by distributing sacrificial animals in observance of the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah celebrations. This annual initiative serves as a vital bridge between the healthcare institution and the surrounding community, embodying the spirit of generosity that defines this holy occasion.
This year, the hospital successfully coordinated the distribution of sacrificial goats to 12 different locations throughout the Nginden area and its vicinity. The outreach program targeted a diverse range of community hubs, including mosques, prayer rooms (musala), orphanages, the local police station, and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren).
The specific recipients of this year’s donations include Masjid Al Mukminun, Masjid Al Muttaqin, Masjid At Taqwa, Masjid Baitul Akhir, and Masjid Khoirul Huda. Contributions were also delivered to Musala Al Muayyan, Musala Assidqon, and Musala Al Maghfiroh. Furthermore, the initiative extended its reach to the Al Kahfi and Hidayatus Shibyan orphanages, the Sukolilo Sector Police (Polsek Sukolilo), and the Darus Sa’adah Islamic Boarding School.
Chief Executive Officer of RS Premier Surabaya, dr. Victoria Theresa Kusumo, emphasized that this routine activity is more than just a tradition; it is a momentum to strengthen the long-standing bond between the hospital and local residents. She highlighted that the hospital’s mission extends beyond clinical services to encompass meaningful social and humanitarian contributions.
“Eid al-Adha teaches us the essential values of sincerity, compassion, and the spirit of sharing with those in need. Through the distribution of these sacrificial animals, we hope that RS Premier Surabaya can provide tangible benefits to the community while fostering a closer relationship with the environment surrounding the hospital,” said Victoria.
She further noted that the program is a heartfelt expression of gratitude for the continued trust the public has placed in RS Premier Surabaya. Beyond being a religious observance, the Qurban activities reflect the humanitarian values upheld by the entire team at RS Premier Surabaya, reinforcing their dedication to serving society both medically and socially.
