Transjakarta Adjusts Operating Hours and Reroutes 22 Lines Tomorrow

Transjakarta implemented significant operational adjustments and rerouted several services on the morning of Sunday, May 17. These changes were necessitated by a major running event taking place across the Central and South Jakarta areas, impacting public transportation flow.

A total of 22 Transjakarta routes experienced diversions as the race course traversed key thoroughfares. These prominent roads included Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jalan Asia Afrika, Jalan Gerbang Pemuda, Jalan Sisingamangaraja, and extended into the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex. The event, attracting approximately 12,500 participants, was scheduled to run from 05:00 to 09:00 WIB, with both its starting and finishing lines located at GBK.

Explaining the proactive measures, Ayu Wardhani, Head of Public Relations and CSR for PT Transportasi Jakarta, stated that these adjustments were crucial to ensure the continued provision of public transport services throughout the event. “Transjakarta is fully committed to supporting the staging of national and international events, recognizing them as valuable community activities. We have meticulously prepared these service modifications to guarantee that our passengers can maintain their mobility safely and comfortably during this period,” Ayu elaborated in a statement released on Saturday, May 16.

Beyond diversions, several routes also experienced revised operational hours, aligning with the pattern observed during Car-Free Day (HBKB). This meant that certain services were temporarily unavailable to passengers between 05:00 and 10:00 WIB.

Routes impacted by operational changes include:

• 1B Stasiun Palmerah – Transport Hub Dukuh Atas

• 1F Stasiun Palmerah – Bundaran Senayan

• 3F Kalideres – Senayan Bank Jakarta

• 6B Ragunan – Balai Kota via Semanggi

• 6M Stasiun Manggarai – Blok M

• 9C Pinang Ranti – Bundaran Senayan

• 10H Tanjung Priok – Bundaran Senayan

• 1N Tanah Abang – Blok M

• 1P Senen – Blok M

• 4C JIEP – Bundaran Senayan

• 6A Ragunan – Balai Kota via Kuningan

• 6V Ragunan – Senayan Bank Jakarta

• 8N Kebayoran – Petamburan via Asia Afrika

Transjakarta also implemented specific diversions and modifications for the following services:

• Corridor 1 Blok M – Kota was rerouted via Corridor 9 and Corridor 13.

  • Towards Kota: ASEAN – Monumen Nasional
  • Towards Blok M: Monumen Nasional – Masjid Agung

• Corridor 9 Pinang Ranti – Pluit via toll temporarily bypassed the following stops:

  • Towards Pluit: Cikoko – Gerbang Pemuda
  • Towards Pinang Ranti: Gerbang Pemuda – Pancoran Tugu

• Route 9A Cililitan – Grogol temporarily bypassed the following stops:

  • Towards Pluit: Cikoko – Gerbang Pemuda
  • Towards Pinang Ranti: Gerbang Pemuda – Pancoran Tugu

• Route 9D Pasar Minggu – Tanah Abang via Slipi temporarily bypassed the following stops:

  • Towards Tanah Abang: Benhil 3 – Pospol Jati Bunder
  • Towards Pasar Minggu: Jembatan Serong – Benhil 1
  • Towards Tanah Abang: JPO Blok G
  • Towards Pasar Minggu: Jln. Taman Kb. Sirih

• Route 6D Stasiun Tebet – Bundaran Senayan experienced a route shortening, terminating at Karet via the underpass and skipping these stops:

  • Towards Stasiun Tebet: Bundaran Senayan 1 – Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur 5 & Sahid Sudirman Center
  • Towards Bundaran Senayan: Plaza Sentral – Bundaran Senayan 1
  • Towards Stasiun Tebet: Simpang Jalan RM Margono – London School
  • Towards Bundaran Senayan: Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Barat IV – Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Barat I

• Route SH2 Blok M – Soekarno-Hatta Airport was shortened to Petamburan, bypassing these stops:

  • Towards Blok M: Gelora Bung Karno 1 – Bundaran Senayan 1
  • Towards Soekarno-Hatta Airport: Bundaran Senayan 2 – Gelora Bung Karno 2

• Route T31 PIK 2 – Blok M and Route S61 Alam Sutera – Blok M temporarily did not serve Halte Gerbang Pemuda – Blok M.

• Route 1W Blok M – Ancol

Ayu concluded by reassuring passengers that Transjakarta also deployed dedicated field officers to assist customers and provide guidance throughout the period of service adjustments, ensuring a smoother travel experience despite the disruptions.
