Teknowarta – The Jakarta Military Court II-08 resumed proceedings on Thursday (May 7) regarding the acid attack case against KontraS Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus. During the session, the legal counsel for the four defendants presented three expert witnesses, comprising two civilians and one military expert, to provide testimony.
As observed during the proceedings, the civilian experts included forensic psychologist Reza Indragiri and military operations legal expert Soleman B. Ponto, a retired Rear Admiral and former head of the Indonesian Armed Forces Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS TNI). These experts were called to provide insight following a prior commitment made by the defense team during the previous hearing on Wednesday (May 6).
Addressing the panel of judges at the Jakarta Military Court II-08, the defense team confirmed that the experts were summoned to clarify technical aspects of the case. “We have brought in a forensic psychologist, a psychology expert, and a military observer specializing in duty-related assignments,” the defense stated within the courtroom.
This hearing serves as a follow-up to the witness examinations conducted on Wednesday, where the military prosecutor presented testimony from various individuals, including the defendants’ superiors and other eyewitnesses present at the scene of the attack on March 12, 2026.
The four defendants in this case are Serda (Mar) Edi Sudarko, Lettu (Mar) Budhi Hariyanto Widhi Cahyono, Kapten (Mar) Nandala Dwi Prasetya, and Lettu (Pas) Sami Lakka. Notably, the defendants have opted not to submit a formal defense plea (nota pembelaan).
