The perpetrator was swiftly apprehended by police in the Rangkapan Jaya area of Depok on Wednesday, April 1. During the arrest, law enforcement officers secured a significant amount of incriminating evidence. Inside the vehicle Wendy used during the assault, police discovered dozens of plastic sachets commonly used for methamphetamine, locally known as ‘sabu’. Further investigation confirmed Wendy’s illicit drug use, as a urine test conducted at the Metro Jaya Police’s Medical and Health Division (Biddokes) returned positive for methamphetamine. “We conducted an examination at Biddokes Polda Metro Jaya, and the examination results showed the suspect tested positive for using methamphetamine,” stated Kombes Pol Rita Wulandari Wibowo, Director of Women and Children and Human Trafficking Crimes (PPA-PPO) for the Metro Jaya Police, during a press conference at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters on Monday, April 6.

The vehicle implicated in the sexual violence incident has also been seized by the police. Kombes Pol Rita highlighted a crucial detail regarding the car’s condition, noting its heavily tinted windows. She explained that the side and rear windows were approximately 80% tinted, while the front windows were 60% tinted. This extreme level of tinting significantly obscured visibility from the outside, intentionally creating a clandestine environment that facilitated the perpetrator’s actions without being observed.

Contraceptives and Potency Drugs Found

Beyond the drug-related findings, police uncovered further alarming evidence inside the suspect’s vehicle. Investigators located not only the used methamphetamine sachets but also various items related to sexual activity, including contraceptives and a specific brand of potency drug. “We also found two potency drugs, three condoms, and 32 used plastic sachets for methamphetamine,” Rita elaborated. Additionally, police seized two mobile phones, a set of clothing worn by the victim during the incident, and a piece of clothing worn by the suspected perpetrator, which had appeared in viral visuals related to the case.
