According to Colonel Dimar Bahtera, Commander of Infantry Brigade 25/Siwah, a poignant military farewell ceremony for Praka Farizal Rhomadhon was conducted today by the United Nations in Beirut, Lebanon. This ceremony underscored the international recognition of his dedication and sacrifice in the pursuit of global peace.

Colonel Dimar, speaking from the grieving family’s home in Ledok, Sidorejo Village, Lendah Sub-district, Kulon Progo Regency, on Thursday (April 2), elaborated on the intricate repatriation process. He confirmed that all planning and logistical arrangements, including the solemn departure from Lebanon, are under the direct control of the United Nations. The journey home for Praka Farizal Rhomadhon is scheduled to commence on Friday, local time.

Following its departure from Lebanon, the sacred journey will include a transit stop in Turkey before continuing its flight to Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Indonesia. Upon arrival in Jakarta, a state reception will be held to honor this “flower of the nation” (pahlawan kusuma bangsa), recognizing his heroic contribution to the country. Subsequently, his remains will be transported to Yogyakarta for the final rites.

Adding to the solemnity of the occasion, Praka Farizal Rhomadhon will not return alone. His remains will be accompanied by two other esteemed members of the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) who also tragically fell while on duty in Lebanon. Colonel Dimar estimates that, with the Friday departure, the arrival in Indonesia will likely be on Saturday or Sunday.
