AKBP Murodih, Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Selatan Metro Police, has confirmed that authorities will issue a summons for Raden Rara Freyanashifa Jayawardana, widely known as Freya JKT48. “The first summons is scheduled for tomorrow. It is intended for the complainant to provide clarification, consistent with the official letter we have already dispatched,” AKBP Murodih stated at the Jakarta Selatan Metro Police headquarters on Wednesday, March 11. This crucial step marks the formal beginning of the investigation into the allegations.
Freya JKT48 is slated to appear on Thursday, March 12, to offer her clarification as the complainant in this high-profile case. The police are prioritizing her statement to fully understand the scope of the reported incident.
“We have sent a clarification summons to the complainant. God willing, the schedule for tomorrow remains as planned. The exact time for her appearance, however, is yet to be determined,” he further elaborated, underscoring the ongoing logistical arrangements.
The initial report was officially lodged by Freya on February 5, 2026. Murodih emphasized that the legal articles invoked in this case specifically pertain to alleged data manipulation through electronic media, highlighting the serious nature of the accusations. The victim claims to have suffered significant detriment due to posts originating from an unknown account, which are strongly suspected of leveraging advanced AI features, specifically Grok and Swap. These tools allegedly facilitated the creation of misleading and damaging content.
“The core of this case involves postings created by the perpetrator using Grok and Swap accounts, which falsely represent the complainant or victim as their originator. The chronology points to an alleged criminal act of data manipulation via electronic media, purportedly carried out by the reported party,” he added, detailing the precise nature of the alleged cybercrime.
Currently, Murodih confirmed, the case remains firmly in the investigation phase. Police are actively engaged in gathering comprehensive evidence and testimonies to meticulously delve deeper into the complexities of the matter, ensuring a thorough and impartial inquiry.
“Indeed, all aspects are still under our rigorous investigation. The case originated when the victim discovered offensive posts from an account with an undisclosed owner. These uploads contained content that the victim deemed highly inappropriate and detrimental,” he stated, outlining the genesis of the complaint.
“Our immediate step is to obtain a detailed statement from the complainant. Simultaneously, our broader investigative process is also actively underway. We commit to sharing further developments with the public as they emerge,” he concluded, assuring transparency throughout the proceedings.
