Polri: Pengusaha dan masyarakat yang diganggu ormas minta THR lapor 110

The National Police (Polri) is urging employers who face coercive demands for Tunjangan Hari Raya (THR), or annual holiday bonuses, ahead of Idul Fitri to report such incidents to the authorities. These reports can be conveniently submitted via their dedicated 110 service hotline.

Beyond businesses, Police Public Relations Division Head Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir emphasized that the general public should also promptly contact the police hotline if they encounter any disturbing practices related to THR requests. “Please call 110, contact the 110 hotline and report it,” Johnny stated to journalists at the National Police Headquarters on Wednesday (11/3).

Johnny further explained that upon receiving a report, law enforcement will initially take preemptive measures. These steps include issuing warnings and appeals to those making illicit THR demands, urging them to cease their activities and not repeat such actions.

However, if these practices are found to be structured, highly disruptive, or escalate to suspected acts of extortion, the police are prepared to initiate robust law enforcement actions. Johnny clarified, “If the THR requests become structured and highly disruptive, then the option of taking legal enforcement action is not ruled out. But that would be a last resort.”

A similar critical appeal was issued by DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, who stressed the paramount importance of preserving a conducive business environment and harmonious community life within Jakarta.

“Hopefully, once again, there will be no coercion from mass organizations or anyone else demanding THR,” Pramono told reporters at RSKD Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (10/3).

Pramono expressed his hope for a secure and orderly atmosphere leading up to Lebaran, ensuring that community activities and the business sector can operate without interruption. “Because in Jakarta, we are particularly committed to maintaining the well-established way of life,” he added.
