Teknowarta – Veda Ega Pratama made a stunning debut in the Moto3 class during the opening round at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand, this weekend. On February 27th, 2026, Veda officially piloted his Honda NSF250RW in the Moto3 Free Practice 1 (FP1) session, immediately turning heads with his impressive performance.

During the 35-minute session, the talented rider from Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, made an undeniable impact. Despite this being his very first time on a Moto3 machine, Veda demonstrated remarkable adaptability, quickly finding his pace and securing a remarkably strong result in FP1.

Veda clocked a fastest lap time of 1 minute 41.85 seconds, positioning him an outstanding 6th at the close of the FP1 session. His impressive time was just 0.652 seconds shy of Adrian Fernandez, who topped the session with a lap of 1 minute 41.20 seconds, highlighting Veda’s immediate competitiveness.

Veda’s seamless transition to his new ride becomes even more apparent when compared to his teammate, Zen Mitani. The Japanese rider only managed a best time of 1 minute 43.38 seconds in FP1, placing him in 24th position, a significant 2.183 seconds behind Adrian Fernandez, further underscoring Veda’s exceptional pace.

Even Brian Uriarte, a formidable rival to Veda in last year’s Red Bull Rookies Cup, appeared to be still finding his rhythm in the FP1 session. Uriarte, making his debut this year with the Red Bull KTM Ajo team, posted a time of 1 minute 42.60 seconds, which placed him 18th at the end of FP1.

Meanwhile, Maximo Quiles, the young Spanish rider widely tipped by many MotoGP figures as a potential Moto3 world champion this year, secured 10th position in FP1. Quiles recorded a fastest lap time of 1 minute 41.93 seconds, trailing Fernandez by 0.736 seconds.

Moto3 riders are scheduled for one more 35-minute practice session later today. Fans eagerly await to see if Veda can maintain this impressive momentum and continue to deliver excellent results in this opening round of the Moto3 Thailand event.
