Our paramount goal is to ensure that all travelers experience comfort, security, and above all, safety during this critical travel season,” Aan stated in Jakarta on Wednesday, February 11th.
To achieve these objectives, a multi-pronged traffic engineering approach will be implemented. The strategies include a one-way system, a contraflow lane system, and odd-even license plate restrictions, each designed to optimize traffic flow on key routes.

One-Way System
Homecoming Flow (Arus Mudik):
- Applies from KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to KM 421 of the Semarang-Solo Toll Road.
- Effective from March 17, 2026, at 12:00 local time until March 20, 2026, at 24:00 local time.
Return Flow (Arus Balik):
- Applies from KM 421 of the Semarang-Solo Toll Road to KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.
- Effective from March 23, 2026, at 12:00 local time until March 29, 2026, at 24:00 local time.
Aan Suhanan further clarified that during the homecoming one-way period, all toll gates leading towards Jakarta will be temporarily closed to facilitate the smooth movement of outbound traffic. Conversely, during the return one-way period, toll gates heading towards Semarang will be shut down. For vehicles on the Cipali Toll Road originating from the Cisumdawu Toll Road, heading towards Jakarta during homecoming or Semarang during the return, designated exits are available at Cimalaka and Cisumdawu Jaya Toll Gates.
Normalization of the homecoming traffic flow is scheduled for March 21, 2026, from 00:00 to 02:00 local time. The return flow will be normalized on March 30, 2026, from 00:00 to 02:00 local time.
