36 persen kendaraan belum balik ke Jakarta via Tol Trans Jawa

The National Police Traffic Corps Chief, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, has revealed that a substantial portion of Eid holidaymakers has yet to return to Jakarta. According to the latest data, approximately 36 percent of the total projected return flow has not yet traversed the toll roads leading towards the capital. This figure represents a significant number of travelers, considering the overall projection of 3.4 million returnees. Inspector General Agus made this statement while overseeing the Integrated Post at the Pejagan Toll Gate on Thursday, March 26th.

This ongoing situation is contributing to sustained traffic congestion along the entire Trans Java Toll Road. Agus highlighted that a critical point of density frequently occurs due to vehicles slowing down significantly when approaching rest areas. These slowdowns create bottlenecks, impacting the overall flow of traffic and extending travel times for those on their return journey. The authorities are actively monitoring these specific areas to mitigate their impact.

Despite the formal conclusion of “Operasi Ketupat,” the police force remains highly vigilant and actively deployed through Increased Police Activities (KRYD). Inspector General Agus emphasized that personnel are continuously stationed on the ground to manage and regulate traffic flow, ensuring that the remaining return journey for holidaymakers remains controlled and orderly. This sustained police presence is crucial to guide the last wave of Eid travelers safely into the Jakarta area, minimizing further disruptions and enhancing overall road safety.
