PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) reported that by H+7 of Lebaran, 314,491 passengers, representing 61% of the total, had successfully returned to Bali. A significant surge in traffic was evident from H+1 (March 23, 2026) through H+6 (March 28, 2026). The highest movement recorded on H+6, with 15,781 vehicles and 49,523 passengers crossing in a single day, served as a strong indicator that the peak phase of the return flow was well underway.

Ticket reservation data via the Ferizy platform further underscored this robust trend. From March 11 (H-10) to April 1, 2026 (H+10), total vehicle reservations at Ketapang Port reached an impressive 148,054 units. Of these, 135,256 units had already been served by H+6, while approximately 12,798 vehicles were still en route to the port, awaiting their scheduled departures.

Yossianis Marciano, Deputy President Director of ASDP, elaborated that these figures indicate the return traffic had not entirely subsided. “The potential for congestion will persist as vehicles arrive gradually. This highlights the critical importance of meticulous travel planning for service users to avoid significant bottlenecks,” Yossianis explained, as quoted from his official statement on Monday, March 30, 2026.

A detailed 12-hour production report for March 29, 2026 (00.00–12.00 WIB) or H+7, showed 22,804 passengers had crossed. The vehicles served included 3,438 motorcycles, 2,024 private cars, 667 logistics trucks, and 272 buses, totaling 6,401 units. Cumulatively, from March 22, 2026 (HH) to March 29, 2026, at 12:00, a substantial 97,683 vehicles (59%) had successfully returned to Bali.

Amidst this heightened mobility, PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring all ferry services operate optimally. Yossianis Marciano, Deputy President Director of ASDP, emphasized that operational readiness had been maximized from the very beginning of the return traffic period. “In the midst of the surge in public movement, we are ensuring optimal service. Arief Eko, General Manager of ASDP Ketapang Branch, explained that during periods of high traffic, goods vehicles were temporarily redirected to designated parking areas. “When traffic is dense, we guide logistics vehicles to buffer zones such as Bulusan, Sri Tanjung Terminal, and the Pusri area. Once conditions become more manageable, these vehicles are then served gradually,” he clarified.

To maintain seamless operations, up to 32 ships were deployed, with 18 of them operating under the “Arrive-Unload-Depart” (TBB) pattern. The optimization of buffer zones at Grand Watudodol, Sri Tanjung Terminal, Bulusan, and PT Pusri was also continuously undertaken. Despite some points being observed as dense with logistics vehicles, the overall situation remained firmly under the control of the officers.

With port occupancy reaching approximately 90%, the vital process of loading vehicles onto the ferries continued smoothly across all docks, reflecting efficient management of the intense holiday return traffic.
